Cyclist, automobile collide near intersection

IU sophomore Robert Smith said he collided with an automobile near the intersection of Fee Lane and 11th Street Monday afternoon.

Smith said he was riding southbound on his bike along Fee Lane when a car exited the Kelley School of Business parking lot as the driver attempted to enter 11th Street.

Smith said he scraped his hand and experienced bruising on the right side of his upper torso. He was treated at the scene by an IU Health ambulance and released.

His bike was able to sustain the impact of the collision.
