BPD identifies suspect in stalking, car arson case

Sources have confirmed John Switzer, 57, is wanted on a warrant for arson and stalking, both felonies.

Switzer allegedly set the car of Wendy Clensy, 41, ablaze and stalked her after an argument.

Clensy’s 1998 black Acura burned in a driveway in the 1800 block of West Marquis Drive early Monday morning, leading to a call to the police.

She named Switzer as a possible suspect because the two had argued the evening before.

A flammable liquid was used as an accelerant, and sparklers were allegedly used to spark the flames.
