Roommate allegedly assaulted with fan

Garrison Hamilton, 20, was arrested for misdemeanor battery Saturday by Bloomington police.

Hamilton allegedly assaulted his roommate, Tristan Risper, 19, during a fight in which they wrestled on the floor, Lt. Bill Parker of the Bloomington Police Department said.

Risper told police Hamilton assaulted him with a fan twice, Parker said. The police report did not contain specific details about the type of fan used.

“He wouldn’t leave me alone, so I hit him with a fan,” Hamilton told police, according to the report.

Risper had a gash on his face when police arrived, but neither police nor an ambulance transported him to the hospital.
