Arson reported after midnight, car set on fire

Bloomington police were called to a 1998 black Acura burning in a driveway at 12:10 a.m. Monday after being set ablaze with an accelerant.

Wendy Clensy, 41, is the owner of the vehicle that Lt. Bill Parker of the Bloomington Police Department described as “badly damaged.”

Clensy named a suspect whose name has not yet been released by the department. Clensy told police she and a male acquaintance had argued the night before, leading her to suspect he was the culprit.

Police are looking for the suspect named by Clensy, Parker said, and the investigation remains ongoing.
