IU beats Evansville, 94-73

The IU men’s basketball team stayed undefeated Wednesday night, defeating Evansville
94-73 at the Ford Center.

Leading the way for the Hoosiers was four starters in double figures. Senior guard
Verdell Jones paced IU with 17 points, junior forward Christian Watford had 15 points, junior guard Jordan Hulls had 15 points and freshman forward Cody Zeller had 14 points.

Sophomore guard Will Sheehey also chipped in 10 points off the bench.

The Hoosiers were able to ride a first-half surge of 51 points, which gave them a 24-point
lead heading into halftime.

The victory marks the first time the Hoosiers have won outside of Assembly Hall since a
67-61 win at Penn State on Jan. 21, 2010.
