The Bloomington Police Department has made an arrest in the stabbing that resulted in death last night.
Michael S. Angle of Bloomington, 26, turned himself in to the police for the murder.
At approximately 10:30 p.m. Monday night, Laurie Kahn, 47, was stabbed multiple times during an apparent attempted robbery at the Garden of Eden adult video store. Kahn was a clerk at the store, which is located at 756 S. Walnut Street. Kahn was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital and later died of her injuries.
Police officers spoke to a witness who was chased by the suspect when the witness saw him leaving the store. When the suspect was unable to catch the witness, he discarded the knife and fled the scene. A switchblade was found nearby that is believed to be the murder weapon.
Angle arrived at the Monroe County Jail with family members to turn himself in. He admitted to the stabbing and also admitted that he was attempting to rob the store. Angle was charged with murder and attempted robbery and was left in the custody of the Monroe County Jail.
