5-year-old reports molestation by 14-year-old

The Bloomington Police Department is currently investigating a 14-year-old Bloomington boy after police received a statement from a 5-year-old Bloomington girl saying she had been molested.

The 5-year-old victim told police there could be two other victims around her age. Police are conducting interviews with these potential victims early this week. The suspect has not yet been informed by the BPD of the investigation.

According to Bloomington Police Department Lt. Bill Parker, the 5-year-old girl told a guidance councilor at Arlington Elementary School of the molestation. The councilor then reported the incident to Child Protective Services. CPS reported the incident to police Wednesday, Nov. 16, at about 11 a.m.

The case is still under investigation and additional information will become available in the next few days.
