Applications for editor-in-chief for the Indiana Daily Student spring
semester are available. Download a copy of the application or pick up a paper version from Ruth Witmer or Ron
Johnson at the Student Media offices.
Applicants should submit hard copies of the application, essay answers, resume, and academic transcript. Submit them in a sealed envelope to Ron Johnson, director of student media.
Electronic files of the completed application form, essay answers and resume are also required. Send all electronic files to Ruth Witmer, Indiana Daily Student news adviser.
Applications are due noon Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011. Late applications will not be accepted.
If only one application is received by the deadline, it extends automatically to noon Friday, Oct. 28, to encourage additional applications.
The Student Media Board will interview candidates in a public meeting on Friday, Nov. 4, 2011, in the Indiana Memorial Union. Interview times will be scheduled and posted after the submission deadline. Multiple applicants will be interviewed in alphabetical order.
Before interviews, completed form, essay and resume will be posted in the IDS offices and online. Transcripts will be viewed only by members of the Student Media Board.
The board will select and announce the spring editor soon after the interviews are completed.
