Former youth pastor arrested for sexual misconduct

Indiana State Police officers from the Putnamville post arrested a former youth pastor due to allegations of sexual misconduct with a child.

Darrel Coffman, 30, of Terre Haute, Ind., was arrested early Thursday morning on a warrant from Vigo County.

Coffman formerly served as the youth pastor of the Promised Land Apostolic Church in West Terre Haute. Coffman allegedly performed various sexual acts upon a 15-year-old male member of his church. The acts were performed at Coffman’s home and in his car from Feb. 1 to June 4.

The state police investigation began when the Department of Child Services in Vigo County alerted the state police of the allegations.

Coffman is to be charged with sexual misconduct with a minor, a Class B felony.
