Indiana State Police officers searched along State Road 37 in the southern part of Monroe County on Thursday for missing IU student, Lauren Spierer. There was no reported evidence regarding Lauren, who has been missing since June 3.
The search wasn't in response to a specific lead, it was a planned search that would cover all of SR 37 to the Monroe-Lawrence county line.
ISP trooper Matt Holley said Thursday’s search started near the highway’s intersection with State Road 45 and went south. The officers looked over limestone cliffs and down gulleys on the side of the road until they reached the county line.
Holley said he believed they have now searched all of SR 37 in Monroe County. ISP and the Bloomington Police Department searched near the highway in Morgan County on Sunday but also didn’t find any evidence.
