Police give new details about the case of missing student, Lauren Spierer

Police have released new details about the case of missing student, Lauren Spierer.

The Bloomington Police Department held a press conference today to clarify a few facts with the press. Lauren's father made a statement as well.

There is no suspect. However, police do have persons of interest, Lt. Bill Parker said. They did not release any names.

He said that the police will continue to concentrate their search in Monroe County.

"Unless we get a credible lead, we will not look in other counties," Parker said.

Parker confirmed that someone did see Lauren at 4:30 a.m. Friday morning. However, they did not release a name.

Parker said it is possible that Lauren's hair has been cut or colored differently.

He confirmed that police do have Lauren's cell phone. Lauren left her cell phone and shoes at the bar the night of her disappearance.

Police also have found a small purse along with Lauren's keys. Parker said it was found somewhere on the path between her friend's apartment and Smallwood Plaza, but he did not give the exact location.
