Don't let summer bore you: Things to do this week

SOFA GALLERY: THE KINSEY SHOW
Noon to 4 p.m every weekday until July 30. Free.

CONTRA DANCE
8 p.m. every Wednesday, Harmony School, $4 non-members, $3 members.

Contra-dancing with great musicians, great callers and a great community of dancers. Never contra-danced before? No problem. By the end of the evening you’ll feel like an expert. You don’t need to come with a partner. Give yourself a break and relax within a friendly community with dancing and live music.

PALS MANE EVENT
6 p.m. Thursday, Alumni Hall, $50 per person

People and Animal Learning Services will have their annual fundraiser Thursday night. Hors d’oeuvres, live music and local wine and beer tastings will be available. Dinner will be served with local wine selections from Oliver Winery followed by an auction. Proceeds benefit PALS, an organization that provides animal therapy to people of differing abilities.

DISCOVER SCUBA
6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Bryan Park Pool

The program is free, but participants must pay for entry to the pool.

Learn to dive at the Bryan Park Pool with training from a certified instructor. Everything is provided but your swimsuit and towel. Participants will learn to dive to depths of less than 5 feet.
