Summary: Provides that, beginning in 2012, an individual may elect to have state income tax and local income tax withheld from unemployment compensation received by the individual.

Workzone Safety Bill (Bill No. 338)

Summary: Requires a worksite speed limit to be at least 10 miles per hour below the maximum established speed limit for the location on the road or highway on which the worksite is located. Provides that a driver engaging in the offense of aggressive driving in a highway work zone commits a Class B infraction.

School Bus Safety Bill (Bill No. 406)

Summary: Requires the state school bus committee to have a regular meeting once each quarter. The committee must require a school bus driver to provide instruction to passengers about the proper fastening of safety belts. The driver must also conduct emergency evacuation drills at least once per semester.
