Annual clean up keeps city beautiful

Bloomington will have its sixth annual Be Beautiful Downtown Cleanup on Friday. The event is designed to spruce up the city. Volunteers will pick up trash, plant flowers and maintain flower beds.

“Bloomington is a beautiful place to live, work and study,” Bloomington Mayor Mark Kruzan said in a press release. “With IU graduation approaching and many visitors on their way to enjoy time in our city, this is a great way for everyone to be involved and take pride in their community.”

How to Register
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Friday in the City Hall Atrium at 401 N. Morton St.

Volunteer Itinerary
Volunteers will work 9 to 11:30 a.m. and will receive a free T-shirt and a free light breakfast and lunch. Volunteers will also be reimbursed for parking in Garage Market at Seventh Street and College Avenue. City employees will lead the cleanup.
