The IU Police Department was notified at 6:35 a.m. Monday of a man who had been sleeping in the Herman B Wells Library since Friday.
The man, who was born in 1968, told IUPD he was using a computer at the information commons on the first floor of the library when he fell asleep, IUPD Chief Keith Cash said.
Cash added that the man, who is not affiliated with the University, had been found sleeping in the library on repeated occasions in the past. Because this was not the first time he had been found sleeping in the library, IUPD was contacted.
However, since it appeared to IUPD that the man was only using the library to sleep, Cash said the man was advised of trespass.
