Flood watch continues in Monroe County

A flood watch is in effect for Monroe and surrounding counties until 4 p.m. today.

According to the National Weather Service, more than a half-inch of rain fell in Bloomington last night. The service’s website also said more rain is likely before 1 p.m.

The heavy showers left some without power this morning.

Duke Energy has reported outages in Brown County, Greene County, Monroe County and Morgan County.

South Central Indiana REMC has reported outages in Brown County, Monroe County, Morgan County and Owen County.
