Hundreds stood in front of a giant steel stage that was nearly as tall as the Indiana Memorial Union to see performances during Victoria's Secret PINK Nation B-Town Bash.
The festival-style celebration, which IU won through an online contest, featured performances by Girl Talk and the band Cobra Starship. The concert also raised $5,000 for Middle Way House.
The wet October weather did little to curb the turn-out — two factors that combined to turn Dunn Meadow into a muddy, grass-less mess.
"If you haven't walked down Seventh Street lately, you might not know that there is a well of mud masquerading as Dunn Meadow," Erin Chapman wrote in an IDS opinion article two weeks after the concert.
Victoria's Secret picked up the tab on the repairs and in mid-November, workers began to lay down new sod.
