Dunn Meadow was once again turned into a peace camp, this time in protest of the bombing of Afghanistan and rising concern over the treatment of Muslims.
The protest, which lasted nearly eight months, was started by Bloomington resident Sean Bagley. Bagley was better known as Steps, a nickname for his full spiritual name, Steps for Freedom. He said he considered his real name "legal fiction."
