New Kelley institute to promote globalism, partnerships

IDS Reports

IU’s Kelley School of Business is creating a new internationally focused institute. The Institute for International Business will promote global initiatives while working together with other programs on campus that have similar goals.

The institute, which will include the Center for International Business Education and Research, is funding the program with a $1.55 million Title VI grant it recently received from the U.S. Department of Education.

Obtaining major government and private sector grants to fund research relating to international business is a top priority for the institute. With an already strong entrepreneurship program, the Kelley School plans to start having a hand in major emerging markets around the world.

A focus will be placed on emerging markets in the Middle East and Latin America, specifically to support women and small business development.
The program will also offer facilities for international scholars that visit IU,
