Gunman dead at University of Texas library

A gunman shot and killed himself on the University of Texas campus in Austin, Texas, according to the Austin-American Statesman.

The unidentified male shot himself on the sixth floor of Perry-Castaneda Library on Tuesday. UT Police Department are currently looking for a second suspect after several shots were fired off at the library. No one was injured. The gunman was carrying a A-47, a weapon similar to an AK-47, according to KVUE.

Emergency sirens went off around 8:30 a.m., according to the Statesman. Police are looking for a second suspect because of different witness reports of the gunman. UT students are urged by the University to stay inside and lock their doors
