A Bloomington man was arrested in his home for allegedly possessing child pornography, a Class D Felony, according to Bloomington Police Department Lt. David Drake.
Bloomington Police Department Detective Marty Deckard arrested David G. Arthur, 28, after he received a tip from the Indiana State Police Cyber Crime Unit that child pornography was being downloaded from a Bloomington address.
A subpoena from Comcast revealed the address to be Arthur’s.
Deckard entered Arthur’s home with a search warrant and found a computer that contained a CD of child pornography.
Arthur denied owning the child porn and said someone else must have downloaded it, Drake read from the police report.
In 2006, Arthur pleaded guilty to a felony battery charge that was plea-bargained from a child molestation charge.
