IU students and Bloomington community members will get their last chances to see “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Bloomington High School South to benefit the Monroe County Community School Corporation.
The production, which has been ongoing since July 22, stars alumni of BHSS drama club Theatre South performing modernized acts from the Reduced Shakespeare Company comedy troupe’s original screenplay, said Theatre South director and BHSS theater teacher Catharine Rademacher.
Tickets for the show can be purchased online at www.bloomingarts.info, at Bloomingfoods Market & Deli, and at the door: $10 for chair seats and $5 for the floor. All proceeds go toward the Foundation of Monroe County Community Schools to fund extracurricular stipends for the 2010-11 school year.
The foundation set a goal for the summer to raise $750,000 for MCCSC by Aug. 1. According to the FMCCS donation website, $534,932 has been raised so far.
