Around 2 p.m. Wednesday, a fire alarm was set off at the Indiana Memorial Union, requiring the west end of the building to evacuated.
IMU Associate Executive Director Thom Simmons said the alarm was caused by complications from minor renovations being done to the building.
Several police cars and one fire truck were on the scene at 2:15 p.m., but IMU employees, including Tiffany Davis, were already reentering the building.
"We've only been outside 5, 10 minutes," Davis said.
