Man injured at Kilroy’s Sports Bar

A 24-year-old man suffered lacerations to the back of his head when a patron of Kilroy’s Sports Bar hit him with a bottle early Saturday morning.

Bloomington Police Sgt. Joe Crider said two officers responded to Kilroy’s Sports Bar at 2:20 a.m. They met with employees who told them “a patron had been struck in the head with a glass bottle.”

According to the police report, when the bottle broke, glass fragments injured three other men standing near the victim. An ambulance was called, but the injured man refused medical treatment.

Officers arrested Nathaniel J. Neal, a 22-year-old from Carmel, Ind., and charged him with two counts of battery.

Crider said that as officers were arresting Neal, 22-year-old Brian Warden, also of Carmel, began protesting his friend’s arrest and trying to take his cell phone.

Officers intervened, taking the cell phone and arresting Warden for public intoxication.
