It used to be called KIVA, but the cafe located a floor beneath Burger King at the Indiana Memorial Union reopened Monday with a new name and a new look.
The Dunn Meadow Cafe has been renovated to be “more open, friendly and comfortable.”
In the spring, work will begin on an outside patio to provide outdoor seating and dining.
The cafe’s hours are 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Friday, and a grand opening will be on Feb. 8.
The Dunn Meadow Cafe offers healthy and natural food options through “unique sandwiches and wraps” along with other items. The menu includes a pesto chicken sandwich, Mexican Veggie Wrap, Mediterranean Tuna Pita and a salad bar, vegan entrees, daily specials and fruit.
“There is a demand by students for good, healthy, fresh food,” said Steve Mangan, Dining Services General Business Manager, in a press release.
