How to rent a Zipcar

1. Register with a credit card online at http://www.zipcar.com/ and receive your Zipcar card in the mail three to seven days later.

2. Reserve a car via telephone, Internet or iPhone application. You can make a reservation a year or a minute in advance, but you must make a reservation.

3. Swipe Zipcar card across the windshield sensor to unlock vehicle. The keys are in the car. The engine will not start if the car is broken into.

4. Start the car and you are good to go. Use the vehicle’s gas card to fi ll up and make sure you come back with at least a 1/4 tank.

Requirements

UNDER 21
• Be at least 18 years old
• Have a valid driver’s license for at least one year
• Have had no “incidents”(moving violations or accidents)
• Have had no major violations in the past three years
• Have had no alcohol-related violations

21 OR OLDER
• Have a valid driver’s license from any country for at least one year
• Have had no more than two “incidents” (moving violations or accidents) in the past three years or more than one in the past 18 months
• Have had no major violations in the past three years
• Have had no alcohol violations in the past seven years
