Trevor Yager, the founder of TrendyMinds, an Indianapolis advertising and public relations firm, will attend Obama’s State of Union address tonight.
On Friday, Yager received a phone call informing him that he would be a guest of President Obama and the First Lady.
The invitation was extended in recognition of the agency’s growth despite the nation’s troubled economy.
During the past year, the company grew by more than 200 percent and doubled its number of employees.
TrendyMinds is also known for its charity work.
TrendyMinds is celebrating its 15th anniversary and tripling its donations to charity by giving $150,000 of in-kind work to 12 nonprofits.
Yager leaves today for Washington, D.C., and will return to Indianapolis on Thursday.
