His Holiness the Dalai Lama to deliver teachings at IU

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama will be visiting Bloomington May 12 and 13 to teach about the Womb of Buddha.

His Holiness will give three teachings and will speak at 9:15 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on May 12 and 9:15 a.m. on May 13. Each teaching is expected to be two hours.

The event will be at the IU Auditorium and tickets will be on sale beginning Jan. 16. his teachings, called "The Heart Sutra" expresses the importance of compassion and wisdom, according to a press release. The Tibetan Mongolian Buddhist Cultural Center will also sponsor cultural programs May 12 and 13 at the IU Auditorium.

Following his visit to IU, the Dalai Lama will speak in Indianapolis on May 14.
This is the sixth time the Dalai Lama will visit Bloomington and the center.
