Grant to help returning students

IU has received $50,000 to help 22 adult students go back to college.

The money came from the Bernard Osher Foundation, which supports adults re-entering school and pursuing a bachelor’s degree after a significant break.

Most of the recipients are from Bloomington and other nearby cities.

The Osher Foundation supports students continuing their studies at 74 universities. The grants are for students between ages 25 and 50 who have been out of school for at least five years, according to the foundation’s Web site.
