Could we be seeing a return to classic “30 Rock”?
When I caught the show in its 9:30 timeslot on Thursday, I liked it well enough but didn’t give it much other thought, seeing as how I was rushing to get out to the bars to drown myself in a couple sophisticated imports and a cheap domestic pitcher.
However, as I re-watched the show on Hulu the next day, that question started to form in my mind.
Sure, there were some missteps. The sneaking around that Liz and Pete did in their quest to find a new cast member was extremely overdone, as was the ridiculously obvious payoff moment wherein it’s “revealed” that Pete and Liz are “intercoursing each other.”
Besides that, everything that drew me to the show from the start was in last Thursday’s episode.
