At 1:30 p.m. today, fire, police and other emergency personnel will arrive at Jordan Hall.
It’s part of a “full-scale” simulation to practice dealing with fires, chemical spills, biological incidents, flooding and gas inhalation.
The building will be evacuated. Some people will be allowed to return immediately, though some in the building will be delayed for up to 90 minutes, according to an IU press release.
Onlookers might see fire trucks and other emergency vehicles, as well as staff in protective gear, according to the press release. Volunteer “victims” will be lying on the ground and put onto stretchers.
