State Budget Committee to meet Friday

The State Budget Committee meeting will take place at 9:45 a.m. Friday in the IU-Purdue University Fort Wayne Medical Education Center.

The meeting’s released agenda does not include discussion of the $53 million in projects for IU and Purdue University pending approval by the state committee.

IU spokesman Larry MacIntyre said Sen. Luke Kenley, who as chairman of the State Budget Committee approves all building plans, will not pass IU’s current construction plans until in-state tuition increases are reversed.
