IU student 1 of 3 found dead in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS – Police say two men and an IU student have been found “brutally murdered” in an apartment on the far east side of Indianapolis.

The men were identified Friday night as 19-year-old Devon Bledsoe and 22-year-old Jerromey Wingfield, both of Indianapolis. According to the Indianapolis Star, the woman was identified as IU student Shawnice Dunlap.

Police were sent to the scene shortly before 1 p.m. Friday after a family member reported one of the victims had not shown up for work. Thompson said the deaths were homicides and all three “appear to have died violently.”

Police have not released the manner of death or other details.
