IU alumni elected Phil Eskew Jr. to a second three-year term as an IU trustee on Tuesday. Eskew won with 9.173 of 26,300 votes.
The 67-year-old went to DePauw University as an undergraduate and earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the IU School of Medicine in 1970.
Eskew was first elected as an IU trustee in 2006.
“I knew that I had very strong competition running against me in this election,” Eskew said in a press release. “I think that this is a statement in support of what we as trustees have been working toward at Indiana University.”
