State reports 22 new swine flu cases

INDIANAPOLIS – Health officials say they have confirmed 22 new cases of swine flu in Indiana.

The new cases raise Indiana's total to 61, although the State Department of Health says there are no reports of serious illnesses in Indiana caused by the virus.

Thirteen of the new cases are in Marion County, seven are in Lake County and one each is in Elkhart and Putnam counties.

The swine flu virus has been confirmed in patients in nine Indiana counties. Marion County has the most, with 34 confirmed cases, followed by Lake County with 16.
