INDIANAPOLIS – President Barack Obama will visit Indianapolis May 17, following an appearance earlier that day in South Bend for the University of Notre Dame commencement.
The Indiana Democratic Party said Obama will attend a fundraiser for Indiana Democratic Reps. Joe Donnelly, Andre Carson, Baron Hill and Brad Ellsworth at 4 p.m. at the Westin Hotel downtown. Tickets will range from $250 to $5,000.
Obama’s appearance at Notre Dame has been criticized by some Catholics because of his support for abortion rights and embryonic stem-cell research.
