The annual Writers’ Conference at IU-Bloomington, now celebrating its 69th year, will welcome eight nationally renowned writers to Bloomington June 14-19 for a weeklong festival of classes, workshops and readings.
Classes during the conference include “Reading for Writers,” “The Craft of Creative Nonfiction,” “The Craft of Poetry,” and “The Craft of Fiction” and will meet Monday through Thursday in the Dogwood Room of the Indiana Memorial Union. Workshops include poetry and fiction and will meet in the morning of June 19.
A free open-to-the-public evening reading series featuring conference faculty and conference participants will take place at 8 p.m. each evening in the Rose Firebay Room at the John Waldron Arts Center.

COST: For classes only, the fee is $250. The cost for a workshop, which
includes all classes, is $500. A nonrefundable $50 registration fee is
applied to the final amount. Limited merit-based scholarships are
available.
