Southside CVS robbed

Police are searching for a man who robbed a CVS store Tuesday morning.

Officers were called at about 11: 30 a.m. to CVS Pharmacy on South Walnut Street in response to a call about a man taking money from a cash register, said Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Jeff Canada.

The man walked into the store and started to purchase a beverage. When the clerk opened the cash register, the man indicated he was robbing the store and reached over the counter to take money from the register, Canada said. No weapon was shown.

The suspect was described as a black male with a goatee. He was wearing dark shoes, khaki pants and a gray hooded sweatshirt, Canada said.
