IU names new vice provosts

IU Provost and Executive Vice President Karen Hanson has appointed the new positions of vice provost for faculty and academic affairs and vice provost for undergraduate education, according to an IU press release.

Thomas Gieryn, the Rudy Professor and chair of the Department of Sociology in the College of Arts and Sciences has been appointed to the new position of vice provost for faculty and academic affairs, whild Sanya Stephens will fill the position of vice provost for undergraduate education, according to an IU press release.

Stephens, is currently professor and chair of the Department of French and Italian in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Both positions were created as part of restructuring of campus administration to place the functions of the office of academic affairs and dean of the faculties under the leadership of two vice provosts, according to an IU press release.
