Man convicted of voyeurism for filming in HPER, library bathroom

Videotapes show hours of footage in local areas

A Bloomington man has been convicted of voyeurism for secretly filming men and boys urinating in public restrooms and locker rooms.

A Monroe County jury viewed hours of the video footage filmed by 41-year-old Christopher Casady before finding him guilty Wednesday of all 16 counts of voyeurism he was charged with.

Casady faces up to three years in prison on each count when he is sentenced Jan. 14.
Prosecutors say Casady used a small video camera to film young men and boys in the restroom and locker room at the School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, the restroom at an IU library and the restrooms at a city park.

The videotapes also showed men, including Casady, engaging in sex acts in public restrooms. He was arrested in February after several men told police Casady was watching them shower in the HPER locker room.
