Jeff Ellington (R)

Education: IU graduate

Experience: City of Bloomington firefighter for 20 years; engineer with Bloomington Fire Department; state-certified medical responder; past member of emergency management board; past member of Center for Behavioral Health

Top Priorities if elected: “Stop political tests for hiring deputy coroners and take Republican, Democrat or nonpartisan members that are most qualified, and appointing medical physicals as part of our deputy coroner team.”

Why you are running? “Twenty years’ experience helping and serving the public, and I think my experience would be good experience for office.”

Education: BS IU; Graduate of the IU Law Enforcement Academy and State of Oregon Police Academy.

Experience: “I have over 20 years of practical investigative and law enforcement experience. Presently, I am employed by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department.”
