Top Priorities if elected: “Economic development and jobs are, and will continue to be, our top priority. We’ve brought a record number of new jobs and investments to Indiana, and we’ve received national recognition for improving our business climate, now among the best in the nation. We’ll have to work even harder as the national economy struggles, but with our low taxes and utility costs, best-ever credit ranking and funded road program, we’re in better shape to weather the national slowdown than most of our neighbors. Our focus in the next four years will be on improving our K-12 education system, getting students more access to higher education and retraining displaced workers.”

Why you are running? “We have discovered over the past four years that good ideas and determined, dedicated people can make positive change happen in Indiana. But there is still much to be done to make Indiana the great and successful state I know it can be. I’m asking to be rehired to continue our efforts to attract good-paying jobs and bring new opportunities to Hoosiers. We must continue our efforts to reform local government and make sure our schools provide the quality education our children need to be successful in the future.”
