Taylor University moving programs

FORT WAYNE – Taylor University will end its undergraduate program in Fort Wayne in May, moving some of the school’s programs to its main campus in Upland.

Taylor President Eugene B. Habecker announced Monday that the school was no longer able to financially support the former Summit Christian College, which Taylor University bought in 1992.

The 337 full or part-time students on the Fort Wayne campus will be encouraged to move to the main campus of the private evangelical liberal arts school in Upland, Ind., about 45 miles south of Fort Wayne.

The Fort Wayne campus has 42 full- or part-time faculty members and 78 full- or part-time staff members. That campus’ MBA program, online-learning program and radio station won’t be affected by the decision.
