Hoosiers haunt Hall

Bringing the number of preseason public scrimmages to three, IU Athletics announced the IU basketball team will hold its first-ever “Haunted Hall of Hoops” at 7 p.m. Friday at Assembly Hall.

The Hoosiers will open the event by passing out candy and signing autographs until 7:30 p.m. The team will then scrimmage with a costume parade for children at halftime.

“We want to have another opportunity to get our kids playing in front of fans,” IU coach Tom Crean said in the statement. “We also hoped to provide families with a fun and safe activity and give everyone a chance to get to know our players better.”

IU opens its season with an exhibition contest against Anderson on Nov. 7.
