Campus Bus Service makes more changes to routes

Along with reducing services during the summer and eliminating the U-bus route in the fall, several changes will be made to the Campus Bus Service, according to an IU news release.

The changes are due to an 85 percent rise in fuel cost and increases in other costs that added up to more than the predicted increase in students' transportation fees this year, according to the news release. The specific changes stemmed from suggestions from the IU Student Transportation Board.

Between Mondays and Thursdays, routes A, B, D, E and X will stop running at about 11 p.m. rather than midnight, and Friday service hours will be reduced, according to the news release. The adjusted service times will be during late afternoon and evening.

On weekends, the E-bus route will take passengers to the College Mall. On Saturdays, bus services will be provided between 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. – on Sundays, buses will run noon to 6 p.m., according to the news release.

During class breaks, the E-bus route will run from 7:40 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and will take passengers to the College Mall during the afternoon, according to the news release. The route will go to the College Mall all day on weekends during breaks.
