I want to thank Mr. Chase Cooper for speaking the unknown truth about global warming (“Eco swift boats,” Jan. 15). I am sick of people looking at me as if I were committing a crime when I say I don’t believe in global warming. Now don’t think I don’t care about Mother Earth or the environment. I love the environment as much as the next person. I would much rather see trees and grass than a strip mall or gas station. I recycle my plastics, glass and paper. I think that an alternate resource for fuel needs to be found. However, I do not believe in the myth of global warming. There are plenty of facts out there to disprove the theory, but in order to obtain those facts, people have to do some major digging. I’m glad Chase identified some of the sources for the other side of the global warming drama. The media constantly bombards us with threats and statistics about the human race’s effect on the earth. To me, the earth has been around a lot longer than the human race. Think back to the last ice age, when a large percentage of the surface of the earth was covered in ice. There must have been “global warming” back then for all that ice to melt. Don’t worry, Chase. In 20 years, I’ll remember the conservatives were right.
You know he’s right
