Demand universal healthcare

I want those who are against universal healthcare to consider these points. NAFTA and globalization has led to millions of jobs being outsourced and has hurt many industries – why not the insurance and pharmaceutical companies? How can they justify charging outrageous prices for health care? Why are they protected? Our politicians were shortsighted – as usual – and did not consider that our system of employer-based insurance would be drastically affected. They sit and do nothing! Also, for those Christian pro-lifers: How about giving the babies a chance in this world by providing universal health care? Universal health care is a pro-life issue. Why isn’t the religious community demanding universal healthcare that sustains “life”? How does the Catholic Church propose providing health care for the undocumented? Providing a sanctuary for them is not enough. People without health care shouldn’t be embarrassed or disgraced for going to free clinics. It is the politicians in Washington who are a disgrace and embarrassment for not taking care of their constituents and lining their pockets with money from the insurance and pharmaceutical companies. \nWrite your congressional representative and ask him to support H.R. 676 – The “United States National Health Insurance Act.”
