As much as I hate Tom Brady, Randy Moss and the New England Patriots, I have become a hypocrite this season. I drafted Brady, traded table scraps for Moss, and now I own both players in my fantasy league. Going against everything I stand for, I am temporarily a Patriots fan.\nWhere I come from, people get slapped for making statements like that. Mind you, the Patriots are cheaters. Their players have been known to take human growth hormones, and their coach chooses to engage in espionage rather than play the game honestly. But I can’t get enough of that offense.\nMonday night I was rooting for Brady to throw a touchdown to Moss on every single play. If I was running the New England offense, my game plan would simply consist of running a Madden-esque Hail Mary every down, pressing circle to chuck it to Moss for six. Owning both a quarterback and wide receiver on the same team in fantasy football means double points for your fantasy team. When it works – as Brady to Moss has thus far – doubling up is a beautiful thing. \nAnd, in my case, you find that your NFL allegiance skews slightly when you own both a superstar quarterback and a dynamic wide receiver on the same team. I hope the Patriot offense scores 50 points a game while yielding 60. \nI also can only hope that the Brady-Moss connection lasts all (fantasy) season.
Week four studs:\nDallas Clark, tight end, Indianapolis Colts – It is frustrating for owners of Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne to see Peyton Manning throw it to Clark as much as he does. But with 76 yards and two touchdowns, Clark has emerged as “the” premiere tight end this season.
Patrick Crayton, wide receiver, Dallas Cowboys – Could Terrell Owens be on the edge of a tantrum after watching Tony Romo throw the ball to Crayton for 184 yards and two touchdowns?
Two to start:\nPlaxico Burress, wide receiver, New York Giants – Burress has a touchdown in every game this season. At home versus the Jets in the battle for bragging rights in the Big Apple, expect a big day for Burress.
Torry Holt, wide receiver, St. Louis Rams – Holt has struggled all season long. If there is one thing I have learned about elite wide receivers it is that they always come full circle. Expect Holt to explode against the Arizona Cardinals.
A few to sit:\nEveryone with a bye week – Don’t be “that guy” by not fielding a full team. Pay attention to which teams are playing and which have bye weeks.
On the wire:\nEarnest Graham, running back, Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Last week, Carnell Williams was on my “Player to Sit” list. Now he is out for the year with a knee injury, making Graham a logical pick-up. Graham already has three touchdowns this season, and, assuming more carries are on the way, he is a major asset.
