What everyone is talking about this WEEKEND

"Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock":

The latest installment of "Guitar Hero" goes on sale Oct. 28, but it will be interesting to see if anyone buys it. Although the new game features "Paint It, Black" by The Rolling Stones and "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N' Roses, it is still missing some of the most important guitar-shredding rock songs. Where is "Stairway to Heaven," "Cocaine" and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"? The game's one upside: The bundle package comes with a wireless Gibson Les Paul guitar.

"Nip/Tuck":

The fifth season of FX's "disturbingly perfect drama" starts Oct. 30. The new season finds our favorite plastic surgeons Sean McNamara and Christian Troy transplanted from Miami Beach to the silicone gold mine of Los Angeles, Calif. WEEKEND hopes the change of scenery will reinvigorate the stagnating story lines of organ harvesting and McNamara's dissolving marriage.

J.K. Rowling outs Dumbledore:

It's true -- Albus Dumbledore, the great wizard from the "Harry Potter" series, is gay. When asked by fans Oct. 19 at Carnegie Hall whether Dumbledore will ever find true love, Rowling told the audience that Dumbledore is a homosexual. Now the great wizard's battle for the all-powerful "Elder Wand" (read: mighty phallus) makes a lot more sense.\n \nJames Lipton the pimp:

The host of Bravo's "Inside the Actor's Studio" and prison warden on "Arrested Development" reveals in his new book "Inside Inside" that, as a young, penniless man in Paris, he would procure business opportunities for women of the night. He also set up live sex shows. "We were earning our living together, this young woman and I, we made a rather good living, I must say," Lipton says in the book.

Kid Rock arrested:

Ever the epitome of class, Kid "I've become the definition of white trash" Rock was arrested Oct. 21 after he and five members of his entourage got in a fight with a man at a Waffle House in Atlanta. Kid spent about 12 hours in jail on misdemeanor charges of simple battery. Though it's sad to say, Kid was better off when he was with trophy tramp Pamela Anderson.
