To those picking first in your draft, take that much needed sigh of relief: your superstar has rounded the first turn of the NFL season and is picking up speed going into the thick of the race.\nDraft position plays a major role in the makeup of fantasy teams. If you drafted first this year and you did not take San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson, hopefully the ridicule you received from the rest of your league didn’t bring you to tears. If you were indeed wise enough to take Tomlinson at No. 1, your team will be a force to reckon with the rest of the way.\nTomlinson is the Starbucks of fantasy football. He’s the consensus blue-chipper for nearly every fantasy owner, monopolizing the top of draft boards. \nLaDainian punishes those who try to oppose him. He might be the only player in fantasy football history who disappoints people by only scoring 15 points. \nTomlinson let the league know the Chargers are still for real this week with a 44-point performance against the Oakland Raiders. Tomlinson is on pace to score 312 points, but those numbers might be low considering that in week two he only had five points against the New England Patriots. Would it be a let down if he didn’t score 414 points like he did last \nseason? I doubt it.\nTomlinson is a monster. The thing he knows how to do best is score touchdowns. Tomlinson has scored 41 of them in the past two years and can only improve this year, as the Chargers have scored 69 points over the past two weeks and are gaining momentum.\nSo here’s to you, Mr. Tomlinson! Fantasy football owners love you more than you would know.
Week 6 Studs\nTom Brady, quarterback, New England Patriots – Brady is on pace to throw for 56 touchdowns. Five touchdowns and 40 points against the Dallas Cowboys in week six helps the cause.\nAdrian Peterson, running back, Minnesota Vikings – Peterson looked like the best player in NFL history against the now soft Chicago Bears defense in week six. Peterson amassed 363 total yards, third most all-time. Two hundred twenty-four of those yards came rushing, and his three touchdowns contributed to a 40-point performance.
2 to start\nTony Gonzalez, tight end, Kansas City Chiefs – Gonzalez was once the first tight end taken before Antonio Gates came around. Gonzalez is making a strong case for being number one again by picking up over 100 yards in two straight weeks.\nJoey Galloway, wide receiver, Tampa Bay Buccaneers –\nGalloway is playing on field turf against the Detroit Lions. All Galloway has done his entire career is catch deep passes, which is convenient, because the Lions have given up five pass plays over 40 yards.
2 to sit\nEdgerrin James, running back, Arizona Cardinals – Who doesn’t love the Edge? Right now, James is a definite sit with Tim Rattay throwing passes and Anquan Boldin still injured. Look for the stingy Washington Redskins defense to key in on stopping the run.\nLaMont Jordan, running back, Oakland Raiders – The Raiders are stacked in the backfield. With running backs Dominic Rhodes and Justin Fargas alongside Jordan, expect the oft-injured former Maryland Terrapin to take a lot of time to heal before he gets a significant amount of carries.
